DVD Tapes (2) of November Peace Concert
If you’ve ever been a fan of classical music, you will order "The Peace Garden Concert Live" recorded on Sunday November 13, 2016 at Batavia High School [2 DVD Set]. Joe Irrera and his brother John as well as soprano Colleen Marcello were put on a benefit the for the Batavia Peace Garden. The two volume DVD showcases the entire concert with a intermission pause to load another DVD. Joe is one of a few Steinway Artists in the world, and played a Steinway Piano brought in for the occasion. You will enjoy the concert so wrapped up in the music and the talent of the players that it will live with you forever. Joe on Piano and John on Violin were the first to perform, and it was almost impossible to believe so much music was coming from only two instruments. Ellen Bachorski, president of the Batavia Peace Garden, said she had heard Colleen practicing earlier and it was like the “voice of an angel.” You will enjoy the soprano take a moment before each aria to explain the story. Puccini was a great choice and each Ms Marcello related to a “beautiful flower,” like those in Peace Gardens. The concert had been a long time coming, said Paula Savage, founder of the Peace Garden. Perhaps the most special part was the fact the artists all have connections to Batavia. Who could believe such talent was home-grown? Joe and John graduated from Batavia High School, and Joe was quick to point out as he stepped out on stage, the last time he’d been there was as a senior in high school. Colleen’s grandfather was a former mayor of Batavia. Ellen and Paula were clearly pleased with the DVD's. One lady said if she closed her eyes, she’d think she was in Carnegie Hall. Putting on the concert was no small feat, from getting the brothers together to rehearse with Colleen to arranging for shipment of the Steinway from Denton, Cottier and Daniels in Buffalo. One volunteer told what a job it was to unpack it and get it cleaned up. It was definitely a thing of beauty. Order yours today. Questions: (585) 483-1032
